On the premiere episode of @TheBLCPod: His & Hers edition, SNM Jones and Nic Nice take a moment to reflect over the holiday break, discuss their New Year’s resolutions, the origin of their relationship, and the launching of the His & Hers edition of the Black Lives Chatter Podcast. They start off the show giving their take on the Katt Williams’ interview with Shannon Sharpe/Club Shay Shay (13:52), before shifting gears to discuss Jonathan Majors being convicted on two charges related to domestic violence, and Meagan Good's role as his girlfriend (23:18). Nic and SNM dive into “The Prize'' conversation triggered by a clip circulating of Jonathan Owen, where he stated that "he is the prize" to the dismay of Simone Biles' fans (42:55). They examine Nia Long's decision to accept a lower child support payments from her ex, and whether Lebron and Rich Paul was trying to get some getback with Ime Udoka (54:25). Rounding out the first episode they explore the merits of Erica Dixon’s claim that Scrappy is the reason she ever tied the knot (1:08:05), before ending with congratulatory shoutouts to a Ronnie Long, a North Carolina man exonerated after 44 years (1:17:21), and Angela Bassett for winning her first (Honorary) Oscar (1:20:54).

OSC Ep. 2: When They Go Low

In the second & final installment of off-season conversations, Nic & S.N.M. start with their appreciation & enjoyment of the disclaimer, followed by S.N.M. kicking off Sagittarius season with her birthday coming up & celebrating at a Swinger’s Club. After acknowledging J’s absence, & a brief discussion of whether this episode was considered a pop-up, they dive into the topics, starting with Jonathan Major’s ex stating that he wanted her, a white woman, to emulate Michelle Obama & Coretta Scott King. They talk about recent revelations or allegations regarding Jeannie Mai & Jeezy’s divorce involving infidelity & gatekeeping, TJ Holmes & Amy Robach’s exes getting together, & Deion Sanders & Tracey Edmond announcing the end of their relationship. SNM takes a victory lap as Eboni K Williams seems to agree with her about Lori Harvey & how she’s moving like she should in dating, which leads to a discussion about whether black men & women should get married earlier & so much more.

OSC Ep. 1: Rush To Judgment

In the first off-season conversation, the BLC crew admit to having withdrawal in talking their talk since the season ended. They talk about their Thanksgiving experience with J admitting to having the worst tasting Turkey Day ever, SNM having two Thanksgiving meals, and Nic having a quiet holiday at home. They give updates on topics that they’ve discussed before like Angela Simmons and Yo Gotti still going strong, and Tamar Braxton being spotted with her old bae. J recalls the story about Snoop giving up smoke and him following suit, but for real. They discuss updates regarding Diddy and additional accusations made against him and others, the outrage around the coverage (or lack thereof) of Josh Giddey, an OKC player accused of having relations with an underage girl, and the difference in how white men are covered versus black men. Malika Andrews and Stephen A Smith seem to be at the center of the outrage from people like Kwame Brown, Dez Bryant and others, and the crew discuss how we treat rush to judgement of our own, and so much more. Ep. 12: Where There’s Smoke

The episode begins with a little pre-show banter. (1:00) Nic blames his wife and daycare-attending son for being sick while trying to produce the final episode of Season 1. Nic is also sick of Kisha Chavis’s continual disrespect for her husband, Joe Smith. (2:30) SNM reflects on Tim Scott’s sudden departure from the presidential race. (3:30) J mentions the first black-owned sperm bank but tells Tim Scott his services won’t be needed. Following the intro, (6:50) the crew talks about their week including SNM attending a conference for women veterans, J trying to recover from disappointments in Houston, and Nic reminding black parents of the importance of advocating for their children. The group tackles the hot topics of the week beginning with (12:40) Andre 3000’s new ‘bar-less’ album, (16:59) Snoop and Meek Mill’s recent decision to quit smoking, (19:45) Chrisean Rock’s recent viral interactions with Tamar Braxton and Cam Newton. (25:30) Jada Pinkett-Smith says it’s important to have friends of the opposite , (36:10) Brother Bilal claims to have witnessed Will Smith and Duane Martin engaging in homosexual acts, and (47:10) Cassie files a salacious lawsuit against P. Diddy that quickly settles. (1:00:19) Pardi (Meg Thee Stallion’s Ex) drops a diss track to set the record straight, (1:13:14) Terrance Howard says Paramount owes him 20 years’ worth of residuals for his work on Hustle & Flow, and (1:22:08) the BINT (Blessings In No Time) founders facing charges for running a Ponzi scheme during the onset of the COVID pandemic. Rounding out the final moments of Season 1, (1:34:20) the crew reflects on the blessings and lessons gleaned from the first season as well as offers a few teasers on what viewers can expect to see in Season 2!!

Ep. 11: Believe it or not!

On the eleventh episode of @TheBLCPod, Nic, SNM, and Just J start with pre-show banter about SNM's dismal record with mispronouncing people's names, a light-hearted conversation about a clip featuring a Blood gang member's inability to use the letter C ( the BLCPod crew has no gang affiliation), and the need to retire the word "pause". They ponder the need to add more to the disclaimer at the start of the show (4:22). Following Nic's suggestion, the crew watched the Milli Vanilli documentary and gave their thoughts on what they learned (5:04), as well as whether they would take $500,00 a year to be Milli Vanilli all over again (10:22). They start the show with a quick update from Ep. 10 regarding Joe Smith and new revelations, including Nic's take on Kisha Chavis’ interview with Cam'ron (16:55). They move on to provide quick takes on the Jeezy and Nia Long interview (22:29), and the possibility of Doja Cat getting cancelled due to her latest antics (27:55). After spending several moments adding to the disclaimer, the crew discuss their take on Congressman Tim Scott, his new “girlfriend”, and if she's a political beard (35:45), the breakup of Lori Harvey and Damson Idris (51:48), and recent allegations of abuse made by Keke Palmer against her child’s father (58:51). The group went on to discuss Dee1Music’s challenge to Rick Ross, Meek Mill and Jim Jones, and claims that they are harming the community (1:10:11), followed by Young Thug’s RICO case, and the ruling that the prosecution can use their lyrics at trial (1:32:44). Ironically, the new disclaimer was so long that the portion telling viewers and listeners to Like, Subscribe, and Follow (a throw-back to last week's pre-pod chatter) had to be cut. Meanwhile, the crew is still searching for their 'intro phrase'. They start the show (4:40) celebrating their 10th episode before recapping their week, which includes Just J's first time trying fully immersive VR, SNM picking up a side-gig as a book reviewer only to discover it was too time-consuming, Nic celebrating his birthday and reflecting on the blessing of having lived long enough to be considered old. For the first topic, they revisit a topic from Episode 2: Damaged Goods referring to Angela Simmons and Yo Gotti's extremely short-lived romance (14:16), followed by Joe Smith's reaction to discovering his wife, Keisha Chavis, has been running an OnlyFans account (24:11). Amid speculation that K. Chavis is just trying to raise her profile in an attempt to snag a role on a reality series, the crew discuss possible causes behind the break-up of Gordon & Mia Thornton - an age-gap couple from RHWOP (36:40). In keeping with the discussion on reality TV and age-gap couples, Nic asks for the crew's thoughts on news that Scottie Pippen's ex-wife, Larsen, will be marrying Michael Jordan's son, Marcus. (47:57). The group went on to discuss a couple of currently trending clips.
